Our COVID-19 Safety Measures

Essential Move Out Cleaning, a local Seattle company, is closely monitoring COVID-19 and its impact on our beautiful city. The health and safety of our customers and staff are our utmost priority during these unprecedented times. While we cannot control the severity or unpredictability of this virus, we do recognize that a clean and healthy environment in the homes of our clients is paramount, especially now.

We carefully act with prudence in our day-to-day operations to limit the spread and impact of the Coronavirus. We have listed down below the preventative safety measures we are following set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and other health agencies:

  • Our team members are required to wear personal protective equipment such as a mask and disposable gloves at all times upon entering a client’s home.

  • Each and every one of our team members is required to practice social distancing from each household member and limit the number of interactions with them in order to keep everyone as safe as possible.

  • Our team uses its arsenal of natural green cleaning products and EPA-approved disinfectants to combat the coronavirus. They follow their cleaning product’s suggested time that the surface needs to be wet for maximum effectiveness.

  • We regularly check our cleaner’s temperatures prior to sending them out. We also periodically check if they show any coronavirus symptoms and if they are feeling good before they are sent to your house. If they feel sick they must stay at home.

  • Our cleaning team takes adequate precautions when traveling from home to home such as disinfecting their cleaning equipment to minimize the risk of cross-contamination. We also have them switch out their cleaning cloths and mopheads from house to house and thoroughly wash them between usage.

  • We will request our clients to open up their windows during the cleaning process to allow as much air circulation as possible.

  • Our staff washes their hands with soap often, for at least 20 seconds, and use antibacterial hand sanitizer in-between homes.

  • We provide increased attention to high-touch surfaces such as light switches, doorknobs, bathroom surfaces, and other commonly touched areas. We clean and sanitize your home using products that include certain Environmental Protection Association (EPA) registered disinfecting products and specific cleaning methods, such as mopping with microfiber mops, which have demonstrated a 99% reduction in bacteria.

We encourage our clients to let us know in advance if there are any concerns or if they would like us to take special precautions during their cleaning appointment. We will continue to closely monitor national, state, and local health news for the most recent developments surrounding COVID-19 and follow the guidance of government and public health officials.
